Yesterday we talked cookies. Today we are talking coffee. This is my kind of week…
You’d think a mom of four would automatically be a morning person, right? Or at the very least, after years of getting up early to get the kids off to school, my body would get used to the whole morning thing.
Nope. Apparently my body is convinced that I’m still a teenager and is hard wired to want to sleep until noon. Not like that has happened in the past two decades.
That’s why I drink coffee. A lot of it.
And if you are anything like me, you’ll understand my excitement over McDonald’s of Eastern New England celebrating National Coffee Day by offering customers in the New England region free small hot Newman’s Own Organics coffee every day next week! (9/23-9/29)
Free coffee is a wonderful thing.
To further celebrate National Coffee Day, on Monday September 24th, McDonald’s of Eastern New England is hosting a virtual tasting at the Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in Vermont to discuss all things coffee with Nell Newman. You know, as in the founder of Newman’s Own Organics? Pretty cool stuff.
You too can be a part of the virtual tasting by watching the event via LiveStream at 10:00am ET on Monday. If you have any coffee related questions for Nell or the folks at Green Mountain Coffee, feel free to ask them in the comment section of this post. I’ll be sure to pass them along!
You can also follow along on Twitter under the #McDCoffeeChat hashtag and by following the @McDEasternNE handle.
I know that many of my readers live outside of the New England area, so I have a coffee opportunity for you too! How would you like to win your own Keurig Platinum Brewing System and a package of 24 Newman’s Own Organics Special Blend Coffee K-Cups? A pretty amazing prize, don’t you think?
To enter, comment on this post by leaving your first name, last initial, the state you are from and how you take your coffee. Entries must be received by Friday, Sepetmber 28th 11:59pm ET. Good luck!
A big thank you to McDonald’s of Eastern New England for providing the prize package. Also, a big thank you for sending me to Vermont to be a part of the virtual tasting.
