This weekend has been all about relaxing. Slowing down a bit to enjoy the change of seasons and the natural beauty that defines this time of year. And while I don’t have anything exciting to report or adventures to share, I thought I’d give you a glimpse of what I noticed and enjoyed this weekend.
I hope your weekend has been a time of relaxation, recharging and finding beauty wherever you can catch it.

Thank you for these photographs Melanie!
We’ve been busy and haven’t taken/made the time to be outdoors in a relaxing way.
I appreciate the beauty you posted and the reminder to savor it all…

Thanks for appreciating them! We all see beauty differently, but this was just my take on what caught my eye. Oddly, the colors aren’t that great this year. Everything is muted and the lack of red in the trees is apparent. Must be a weather thing.
Oh my goodness how I want that horse!
This weekend wasn’t too relaxing for us. Crazy weather and we had family pictures scheduled during it! But got them done
Your pictures look amazing! Looks like a great weekend!
Family pictures are so stressful. We’ve done that once. And once was more than enough for me. You are a brave soul.
How beautiful! This is one of the many things I miss about living in New England. And love that horse! Wish I could fit a horse on my property
But I’ve sort of pushed neighbors to the limit with the chickens.
Can I tell you how adorable your chickens are? I need to get over to your blog to give you a better in-depth comment, but I have chicken envy over here. So stinkin’ cute!
Beautiful pictures! I love the picture of the horse, they have such gorgeous eyes. The leaves are turning here too and I just love it.
When I was taking that photo the horse was way off in the field. But as I snapped away, the horse came closer and closer until his nose was practically on my lens! When he realized that I didn’t have a treat for him, he snorted and walked away, lol.
I had a similar weekend. My family and I were able to rent a cabin at the red river gorge near Lexington Kentucky. One of my girls rock climbs so we were able to watch her and spend the rest of the weekend hiking and viewing the fall colors and natural arches. So nice to see your beautiful pictures of the nature around us. These kind of weekends let us relax and reconnect as a family.
Oh Pam, that sounds wonderful. I bet it was beautiful. I so love to hike and explore. I bet the natural arches were gorgeous. Great for picture taking! I’m glad you had an enjoyable weekend!
Melanie,
You take truly gorgeous pictures! Love the horse close up!
Thank you for that.
I do love to take pictures. Of course I shoot 700 to get 7 usable pics though.
Beautiful pix Melanie! I love the colors of the changing leaves and that is a gorgeous horse! Want kind of horse is that anyway? I’m very glad you had a relaxing and replenishing weekend!
I think it was some sort of Belgian something or other. Actually, it was a hungry horse. That I’m sure of.
Gorgeous photos!!
Thank you!
really fantastic pictures! also, so nice to remember to take the time to relax!
Thanks Olga! I’m forcing myself to stop and smell the roses this fall. I couldn’t do that last year, so this year I’m being purposeful about it.
