A Beautiful Bite

I can’t believe this day is finally here. It feels like I’ve been carrying this baby for the past four years. A breech baby with man size 12 feet, this baby did not come easy for me.

But I’m happy to announce that my new food blog, A Beautiful Bite, is up and running. There are still some blank spots here and there that will take some time to fill in and my about and pr sections are still in need of jazzing up, but the site is functional and ready for readers.

That would be you and all of your family and friends in case I was being too subtle.

The point of A Beautiful Bite is to focus on delicious foods made with wholesome ingredients. You won’t find any recipes that use mixes or convenience foods on A Beautiful Bite.

Not to say that mixes don’t serve a purpose. They do. For example, Bisquick makes my life easier when my time is limited. But a Bisquick recipe will more likely end up here at Melanie In The Middle which will still have some recipes here and there instead of A Beautiful Bite, which will have an entirely from scratch recipe collection.

Besides recipes, A Beautiful Bite will have kitchen tools and restaurant reviews. I like to keep things diversified and interesting, so that will give me some wiggle room to write about more topics that I’m passionate about.

I’m pretty passionate about cooking and eating if you haven’t figured that one out yet.

My posting schedule for A Beautiful Bite will be two to three times per week. The best way to know if I’ve updated the site is to subscribe to A Beautiful Bite via email. That way you won’t miss one delicious thing.

It’s easy to sign up for email updates. Just go to the site and put your email address into the subscribe box.

And if you aren’t curious enough, this picture should get you over to see what the new site looks like. If you are a fan of gingerbread, you are going to fall head over heels in love with this recipe.

I truly hope you enjoy the new site. My heart’s desire is to inspire people in the kitchen and to express my appreciation to all of you by providing recipes that you’d be proud to serve to your own families.

For all of you foodies out there, check out A Beautiful Bite tomorrow for a splashy grand opening giveaway. I’m pretty darn excited about it!

    • Thank you so much Sonya! It’s been a long time in coming and I’m happy that it’s finally done. I can finally quit threatening you all with it, lol.

  3. Congrats on your new site Melanie! I just headed over and subscribed, I’m drooling over the Indian Pudding already!

    • Thank you so much for subscribing. In some ways I feel like I’m starting all over again. Building a blog and an audience is exhausting!

  4. Congratulations Mel! I am so happy to have all of your recipes together in one place and so easily accessible. I absolutely love the format especially with the “recipe cards” at the bottom of each dish set up so nicely. It makes it so easy to read and know exactly what is needed and how to put it all together. I wish you the best with your new site, and especially look forward to making many truly homemade meals for my family. Thanks for putting that together for us, your readers.

    • Oh Nancy, yes! I love the printable recipes too. It will make it so much easier for everyone to print the recipes they like. I’m so glad you like the site. I fussed over it and probably made my web designer batty. She is a good egg to put up with me. 🙂

  5. Congrats!!! I am headed there right now and will definitely subscribe! Best of luck to you in this new endeavor.

  6. Congratulations Melanie!! I know how hard you have worked on this! As I’ve told you before, if you need a taste tester, I’m close and willing! Judy P.

  16. Congratulations!! So excited for double blogs from you. I’d like to put in a request for you to showcase (here or there) some easy recipes that call for either just egg yolks or just egg whites that we can use for when we make recipes that call for just one or the other 🙂
