The New York saga continues. As it turned out, the train I was supposed to take on Saturday back to New England was cancelled due to Nemo. Matter of fact, all travel to New England was cancelled because of the travel ban. No cars, trains or planes were going anywhere near New England. Thus, my two night trip to the city turned out to be a four nighter.
As luck would have it, I was invited to an event that I originally had to turn down because I didn’t think I’d still be in the city on Saturday night. But upon finding out that I’d be there one more night, I decided what the heck. Might as well go have some fun.
The event that I was invited to was a Project Runway reunion party. Scheduled to coincide with Fashion Week, this party was to be a celebration of the last eleven seasons of the show and a reunion with the past designers.
Now, I’ve been to some parties in my lifetime, but this one pretty much takes the cake. There were models left and right, paparazzi, flash bulbs going off everywhere, free flowing cocktails and lots of really beautiful people.
Oh, and the music. I’m surprised the building didn’t topple right over. That place was shakin’. But enough of my blabbing about it. You can check out some of the pictures yourself….

Kind of fun, right? My life hasn’t been boring lately. I’ll definitely admit that. And I did finally make it home safely. Actually, I just got home a couple of hours ago. I was thrilled to see my family and heard all kinds of stories about the biggest snowstorm the kids have seen in their lifetime.
I predict there will be lots of sledding, snowman building and cups of hot chocolate in my coming week. Naps too. For me, not the kids!

Such fun!! So glad you are back home with your family and that you all weathered the storm safely. It was a ‘planes, trains and automobiles’ type of weekend of disaster and delays. Your pix of NYC are fabulous and I love the Melanie Scissor pic, you look great!
Craziness. Penn Station was a nightmare. I think all of New England was trying to get on my train. Thanks for the compliment on the picture. You are very kind.
I’m so jealous! You got to meet Mondo! He is a great designer. I love watching Project Runway. That first pic is amazing! Glad you made it home safe and sound.
Yes, Mondo Guerra. Can I tell you how nice he is? I mean, just the most friendly celebrity ever. It was such a pleasure to meet him.
I LOVE Project Runway! What an awesome event to go to!!!
Then this would have been the party for you! I almost went blind from all of the camera flashes going off. The paparazzi apparently likes Project Runway too!
OO I love that blue dress! Great pictures!
So pumped that you got to meet Mondo; he’s one of my all-time favorite designers!
What fun! I’m so jealous! What was the reunion show like? Was it fun to be in the audience? And Mondo! What a treat on top of cake and ice cream! I hope you went with someone who could enjoy it as much. Amazing how much life changes in a year!
OMG what an awesome trip. I have watched every season of Project Runway from the very start. What a fantastic opportunity. Love Mondo too, by the way, you look simply radiant!
