As I mentioned the other day, we had tickets to the Red Sox vs Yankees game this past weekend. And what a game it was! The Red Sox beat the Yankees 9-1 and swept the Yankees back to New York. No offense to my New York readers.
But what made it even more special was that we’ve only been to one game with the boys and that’s when they were toddlers. To have their first game as young adults be a Red Sox vs Yankees game is a pretty sweet thing.
To make it even sweeter, it was Mariano Rivera’s last time playing at Fenway. And even though he is a Yankee, he is highly respected here in New England. Watching our team pay tribute to him was a very special experience for all of us.
I didn’t take too many pictures yesterday which is really sort of strange for me. I think I was just really caught up in the moment and actually stayed in the moment with my kids.
And as much I love sharing my life, sometimes I have to lose myself in actually living it without remembering to chronicle it. So here’s some snaps from our evening. Not much, but you’ll get the gist…
