For 137 years, Quaker has provided us with fuel for our bodies, helping us nourish ourselves and our families so that we can have enough energy to power through our hectic days.
In a time when we are all about go go go, Quaker recognizes the need for even more awareness on the importance of making positive lifestyle choices which include getting enough sleep, exercising and of course eating right.
And to garner more awareness, Quaker enlisted the help of the Sundance Institute filmmaker Jordan Vogt-Roberts to talk to real families about the “Human Energy Crisis”- the idea that families in America are running out of energy before they run out of time.
The short film you see above premiered at the Quaker Good Energy Lodge at the famed Sundance Film Festival on January 17th. And on that day I had the pleasure to live chat with Brooke Burke-Charvet, of Dancing With The Stars fame, to discuss the importance of eating right and doing good things for our bodies so that we can help ourselves get through our hectic lives and still maintain our health. And our sanity too, I might add.
Quaker has been part of my pantry for as long as I can remember. I cook regularly with their oats and Quaker Instant Oatmeal is a staple on our weekday morning breakfast table. It’s something I feel good about serving my children and they enjoy eating it. A win-win proposition all around.
The fine folks at Quaker are offering my readers a fun giveaway. Two of you will win a Quaker Good Energy Kit which you see above that is full of all kinds of yumminess.
The bag itself is a Land’s End tote embroidered with the Quaker logo and it’s stuffed with Quaker products; a portable cell phone charger, texting gloves, a thermos to keep your hot oatmeal warm for a tasty filling breakfast on the go and the most adorable hand knit ski hat that is not pictured because Shannon pilfered it from the bag this morning to wear to school. You KNOW it’s got to be cute if your middle schooler lifts a ski hat. Just sayin’.

This is not a sponsored post. I’m sharing this information because I strongly believe that properly fueling your body is an important thing and that Quaker does a fine job in assisting us with that. I did receive a gift tote in order to facilitate this post.
